Shimla is a popular hill station located in the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It was once the summer capital of British India and is now a popular tourist destination known for its colonial architecture, scenic beauty, and adventure activities. The town is situated at an altitude of 2200 meters above sea level and is surrounded by lush green forests, snow-capped mountains, and meandering rivers.

Old-timers say that once Shimla gets in your blood, it never leaves. It calls you back time after time and at every moment, the town is capable of showing fresh nuance to its rich and varied character. As the former ‘summer capital’ of British India, Shimla has a rare range of built heritage and is surrounded by thick forests of pine, Himalayan oak, flowering Rhododendron, and tall cedars-the ‘almost-legendary’ deodar trees. This magnificent setting and picture of an idyllic retreat in the mid-ranges of the Himalayan mountains are framed by high peaks that trace a snow-clad line across the north.
Today’s Shimla retains a substantial measure of a distinct lifestyle that had grace, leisure, and elegance as its hallmarks. But unlike a place that lives on memories alone, the town also has a youthful vigor in its step, and well-developed facilities and numerous attractions and activities have ensured its popularity down the decades.

Day 1 Delhi to Shimla via Volvo

Route: Delhi- Chandigarh- Solan- Shimla

Total Distance to be Covered: 349km

Overnight journey in Volvo from Delhi to Shimla which will take about 9 to 10 Hours to reach. Early morning check-in in Hotel as per the availability.

Day 2 Sightseeing of Shimla

You will reach Shimla in the morning and after early check-in in the hotel(if available) or freshening up, we will proceed for local sightseeing of Shimla.

Here are some of the main attractions in Shimla:

  1. The Ridge: The Ridge is a popular open-air platform in Shimla and is known for its stunning views of the surrounding hills and valleys. It is a popular destination among tourists and locals alike and is the venue for many cultural events and festivals.
  2. Mall Road: Mall Road is a bustling street in Shimla and is known for its shops, restaurants, and cafes. It is a popular destination among tourists and is a great place to shop for souvenirs and local handicrafts.
  3.  Jakhu Temple: The Jakhu Temple is a famous Hindu temple located on Jakhu Hill in Shimla. It is dedicated to Lord Hanuman and is believed to be the highest point in the town. The temple offers stunning views of the surrounding hills and valleys.
  4. Christ Church: The Christ Church is a famous church located on Mall Road in Shimla. It is one of the oldest churches in North India and is known for its stunning neo-gothic architecture and beautiful stained-glass windows.

Day 3 Sightseeing of Kufri & Departure

On completing today’s breakfast we will proceed to Kufri:

Kufri is a small hill station located near Shimla in Himachal Pradesh. It is a popular destination among tourists, especially during the winter season when the town is covered in snow. Kufri is situated at an altitude of 2,510 meters above sea level and is known for its stunning natural beauty, adventure activities, and wildlife sanctuary.

Here are some of the main attractions in Kufri:

  1. Kufri Fun World: Kufri Fun World is an amusement park located in Kufri that offers a range of adventure activities, including go-karting, zip-lining, and bungee jumping. It is a popular destination among tourists, especially families with children.
  2. Himalayan Wildlife Zoo: The Himalayan Wildlife Zoo is a popular attraction in Kufri that is home to various species of Himalayan animals, including bears, leopards, and musk deer. Visitors can take a guided tour of the zoo and see the animals up close.

After sightseeing you will be dropped at the Shimla Volvo stand for your further journey.
